- Mrs. Emma Powers, age 37, died at her home on Wood street on Saturday night. She had been ill for several years with tuberculosis. Mrs. Powers was a good Christian woman, a kind and loving wife and an indulgent mother. She is survived by her husband, Mr. John Powers, and two small children; Mr. Josiah McKenzie, her father; and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Hattie Conley, Miss Flora McKenzie, Eli McKenzie, John McKenzie, and Arthur McKenzie, who is in the United States regular army, and one sister in Wilmington, Del. The funeral took place this morning with interment in St. Michael's cemetery. The Evening Times, Cumberland, June 29, 1908
