| Aaron McKenzie (b. 1766) - The Hannon House - No Less (page 1) This property on which this house is situated was owned by Aaron McKenzie (b. abt. 1769). It still stands and is located off McKenzie Road in Howard County, Maryland. The web master refers to it as the "Hannon House" because of a renovation performed by Jean and Philip Hannon in the 1950's. The article is incorrect when it states that the house sits on property that Aaron McKenzie purchased from Thomas Dorsey. Actually, it sits on property originally purchased and assembled by John McKenzie (b. 1687) which he called Hopson's Choice. The article is located in Holland, Celia M., Old Homes and Families of Howard County, Maryland (1987), starting at page 179.
