FORT ASHBY, W.Va. — James Albion Hyde, 77, of Dans Run Road, Fort Ashby, W.Va., passed away Friday, Feb.. 6, 2009, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Martinsburg. Born June 23, 1931 in Moscow, he was the son of the late Albion and Rose (Crawford) Hyde. A daughter, Tina Hyde, and two sisters, Helen O’Malley and Daris Arnold, also preceded him in death. Mr. Hyde was a graduate of Barton High School, Barton. He was a United States Army veteran, having served during the Korean War. He retired from Westvaco Corp., in 1978, having worked in the 4 and 5 Beater Room Lab. He attended the Westernport Church of the Brethren, and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. He leaves behind his wife, Ann (Hartman) Hyde; a son, Gary Hyde and wife Wilma, of Fort Ashby; a daughter, Debra Bohrer and husband James, of Ridgeley; two sisters, Evelyn Glyn, of Sutton, and Phyllis Richardson, of Lonaconing. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Jamie Russell and wife Hope, of Barton, Shane Russell, of Fruitland, and Daniel Hyde, of Fort Ashby, and three great-grandchildren, Kyiah, Brooke, and Kolby. The family will receive friends at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday at 1 p.m. with the Rev.
