James Emory Harden, AC J, USN, formerly of Hyndman, died Saturday in San Diego. He was 27. Born in Hyndman. he was a son of Mrs. Viola (Jewell) Harden, Homewood Addition, and Elmer O. Harden, Hyndman. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Emma L. (Gaumer) Harden; a son, Jeffrey Harden, at home; a daughter, Tami Lee Harden, at home; six brothers, Wayne L. Harden, Cumberland; Christian Harden, with USN in Memphis, Tenn.; and Larry Harden, Gary Harden, John Harden and Kenneth Harden, all of Hyndman, and two sisters, Mrs. Shirley J. Swauger, Cumberland, and Mrs. Aleta Harden, Hyndman. The body is at the Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted there Thursday at 11 p. m. and burial will be in Hyndman Cemetery. Harvey Edward Gaumer, 54, of State Line, Pa., track foreman at the Celanese plant, died last night at Memorial Hospital. A native of Wellersburg, Pa., he was a son of the late Charles and Agnes (Shoemaker) Gaumer, and before going to work at the local plant, was employed 16 years by the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth (Burley) Gaumer; a son, Harvey M., of State Line; a brother. Samuel, of Wellersburg; three sisters, Mrs. Pearl Lowery, Bedford; Mrs. Mayme Sturtz, Wellersburg, and Mrs. Ward Turner, Hiwassle Dam, N. C.; and four grandchildren, Mary Lou, Charles J., Nellie and Emma Lee Gaumer. He was a member of the Ellerslle Methodist Church and the Modern Woodmen of America.

Mary E. Gaumer, 82, formerly of Hyndman, died Saturday, July 2, 1966 at Rittman, Ohio. She was born August 28, 1883 in Bedford County the daughter of the late Thomas Burley and Mary (Witt) Burley. She was married to Harvey Gaumer who preceded her in death on November 16, 1941. She is survived by a son, Harvey Gaumer Jr. of Rittman, Ohio, four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was a member of Cook's Mills Methodist Chapel. Funeral services: Wednesday, July 6, at 2 p.m. in the Zeigler Funeral Home in Hyndman with the Rev. Willard White and the Rev. Leroy Logston officiating. Burial in the Porter Cemetery near Hyndman. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday. The Bedford Gazette, July 5, 1966
