    Patricia (Pat) Ann Perdew, 72, of Montgomery Ala., passed away Dec. 2, 2012, at the Baptist Medical Center in Montgomery, Ala. Pat was born on Nov. 20, 1940, in Wellersburg to Lester Emerick and Florence (Lowery) Emerick. She was a 1959 graduate of Meyersdale High School. She was married to Melvin Perdew of Cumberland, Md., on Jan. 6, 1962. Before being married, Pat worked at Diehl’s Esso Station as a secretary. She then served in the Civil Service and was also a devoted housewife and mother. Pat was preceded in death by her brothers, Donald “Sackum” Emerick, Fay “Solly” Emerick, and Leslie “Sam” Emerick. She is survived by her husband, Melvin Perdew; sons Edward and Gary Perdew; and sisters Paulette “Gerb” McCoy and Beverly Sue Kiefer. She has five grandchildren, Corey, Haley, Christopher, Kelsey and Casey. There will be a small inurnment ceremony at Greenwood & Serenity Memorial Gardens in Montgomery on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012.     WELLERSBURG — Lester C. Emerick, 52, died Tuesday in Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland. He had been ill for eight years. Born February 22, 1915 in Connellsville, Pa., he was the son of Mrs. Florence (Baker) Emerick, Berlin, and the late Russell L. (sic: C.) Emerick. Mr. Emerick was a former employe of Kelly-Springfield Tire Company. Besides his mother, surviving are three sons, Donald Emerick and Leslie Emerick, both of here, and Fay Emerick, Cumberland; three daughters, Mrs. Patricia Ann Perdew, Patrick AFB, Fla.; Mrs. Paulette McCoy, Hyndman; Mrs. Beverly Sue Kiefer, Bedford RD; one brother, Victor Emerick, Bethesda, Md., and one sister, Mrs. Irene Valentine, Barrelville; and 13 grandchildren. The body is at the Zeigler Funeral Home where friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted in the funeral home Friday at 1 p.m. by Rev. John A. Klindt.     Mrs. Florence (Lowery) Emerick, 214 Decatur St., Cumberland, died suddenly April 18, 1969. She was born June 21, 1919, in Ellerslie, Md., the daughter of Henry and Emma (Devore) Lowery, who live in Ellerslie. She was married to Vernon R. Emerick, who preceded her in death Dec. 2, 1968. Surviving in addition to her parents are six children: Mrs. Paulette McCoy, Hyndman RD 1; Beverly Keifer, Cumberland; Mrs. Patricia Perdue, with her husband in the Air Force on the island of Formosa; Donald and Leslie, both of Wellersburg, Pa.; and Fay of Cumberland. A brother, Roy A. Lowery, Ellerslie; and four sisters, Mrs. Marian Hosselrode, Hyndman; Mrs. Phyllis Cook and Mrs. Elsie Snelson, Ellerslie; and Mrs. Flossie Smith, Baltimore. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren.     Mrs. Emma J. Lowery, 83, of Ellerslie, died yesterday at Sacred Heart Hospital. She was a daughter of the late Thomas J. and Rachel (Clites) Devore. Mrs. Lowery was a member of the Ellerslie Volunteer Fire Company Auxiliary. Surviving are her husband, Henry Lowery; a son, Roy Lowery, Ellerslie; four daughters, Mrs. Elsie Snelson and Mrs. Phyllis Cook, Ellerslie; Mrs. Marian Hosselrode, RD 1, Hyndman and Mrs. Flossie Smith, Baltimore; a sister, Mrs. Walter Lowery, Ellerslie Road; 36 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren. The body is at the Zeigler Funeral Home in Hyndman where friends will be received today from 7 until 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 2 until 4 and 6 until 8 p.m. A service will be conducted there Friday at 2 p.m. Rev. Milton W. Benny Jr. will officiate and burial will be in the Porter Cemetery.

Mr. DeVore held memberhip in Ellerslie Evangelical Church and Tonkaway Tribe No. 120, Improved Order of Red Men, Cumberland Survivors include four children, Mrs. Henry Lowery and Mrs. George Spellman, Ellerslie; Mrs. Walter Lowery and Harvey DeVore, both of Route 1, Hyndman, Pa., and 28 grandchildren. Rites will be conducted tomorrow at 2 p.m. from the home of his daughter, Mrs. Henry Lowery, Ellerslie, by Rev. Charles Raley. Burial will take place in Porter Cemetery there. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Clites. Surviving besides her husband are three daughters, Mrs. Henry Lowery, Ellerslie; Mrs. Walter Lowery, Hyndman, and Mrs. George Speelman, Ellerslie, and one son, Harvey Devore, Hyndman, 32 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
