    Notes:

FROSTBURG — Something new has been added to the Frostburg Post Office, a woman mail carrier. Mrs. Catherine Catherman, who has been working as an extra at the local post office since last August, received her first training as a carrier last week when she was assigned a full route. Mrs. Catherman, who is a grandmother, said the walking suited her fine and that on days off, she and her husband, Clair M. Catherman, tramp over their 100-acre farm, located along U. S. Route 40 about five miles west of Frostburg. Her past work experiences included nine years as a clerk in the T & S Cut Rate store, and ten years in the Frostburg National Bank from which she resigned to take a federal position with the l.R.A.C. here. Due to a cut-back in the federal budget for government employees about a year ago she was furloughed. She then took a course in speed-writing and later the federal postal examination, which she passed. Mrs. Catherman was employed in the local post office last August 17.
