Harvey Jacob Shroyer, 81, of West Street, Fairhope, went to be with the Lord Dec. 27, 2002 from Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born April 30, 1921, in Fairhope, a son of the late Jacob and Rose (Clites) Shroyer. Also preceded in death by five brothers and six sisters. Surviving are Hazel K. (Winebrenner) Shroyer, his wife of 55 years, whom he married Dec. 4, 1947; two sons, Harvey J. Shroyer Jr. and wife Marsha (Peck), Fairhope, and Billy P. Shroyer and wife Alice (Freas), Berlin; one brother, Robert Shroyer, Fairhope; four sisters, Edna Helmsetter, LaVale, Md., Mattie Riall, Salisbury, Md., and Rosella Davey and husband John, Ellerslie, Md.; six grandchildren, Melanie Michael and husband Eric, Cumberland, Md., Hayley Berlardi and husband Michael, Somerset, Jesse Shroyer and wife Michelle, California, Pa., Angela Nunamaker and husband Todd and Andrew Shroyer, all of Berlin, and Jason Reese, Fairhope; two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Shroyer was a retired B&O Railroad trackman with 42 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II where he participated in assaults on Rome and the Arno Valley, Normandy and the Rhineland. He attended Fairhope Community Church. Viewing was held Sunday, and will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman. Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Fairhope Community Church, Main Street, Fairhope. The Revs. Bradley Reider, Terry Campbell and Leroy Logsdon officiating. Fairhope, PA - Hazel Katherine Shroyer, 85, of Fairhope, went to be with the Lord Thursday March 20, 2014 at Meadowview Nursing Home in Berlin. Born July 5, 1928 in Mt. Savage, MD; she was a daughter of the late William and Ella (Smith) Winebrenner. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Harvey J. Shroyer Sr; a sister, Thelma Hughes; brothers, Allen and Graham Winebrenner. Hazel is survived by sons, Harvey J. Shoyer Jr and wife Kathy of Fairhope; Billy P. Shroyer and wife Alice of Berlin; grandchildren, Melanie Michael of Cumberland, Hayley Belardi of Somerset, Angela (Shroyer) Nunamaker and husband Todd of Berlin, Jesse Shroyer of Fairhope, Andrew Shroyer and wife Caitlin of Berlin, Jason Reese of Windber, Benjamin Hay and wife Keisha of Anchorage, AK, and Elizabeth Hay of Berlin; great grandchildren, Millena, Lilly, Asa, Zya, Haleigh, Brock, and Cameron; a sister, Marilyn Evans of Midlothian, MD; and a brother, Albert Winebrenner of WA. Mrs. Shroyer was a homemaker and a member of the Homemakers Club in Fairhope. She was also a member of Faith Community Church in Hyndman and the Hyndman Senior Center. Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted at the Faith Community Church, 287 Faith Church Rd., Hyndman on Monday at 11 a.m. with Pastors Terry Campbell and Daniel Judy officiating. MT. SAVAGE - William B. Winebrenner, 58, of Midlothian, died this morning at Miners Hospital where he had been a patient since January 11. He had been in failing health three years. Born in Mt. Savage, he was a son of the late William M. and Susan (Whetzel) Winebrenner. His wife, Mrs. Ella ( Smith) Winebrenner, preceded him in death. Mr. Winebrenner was a member of Mt. Savage Methodist Church and Jennings Run Council 15, JOUAM. Surviving are three sons, Allen Winebrenner, Baltimore; Graham Winebrenner, Oakland, Calif., and Albert Winebrenner, Renton, Wash.; three daughters, Mrs. Harvey Shroyer, Fairhope, Pa.; Mrs. Earl Hughes, Chelsea, Mich., and Mrs. John Evans, with whom he resided; six brothers, Lonnie Winebrenner, Bowling Green; James Winebrenner, Eckhart; Cyrus Winebrenner, Lorain, Ohio: Clinton Winebrenner, Hyndman; Ralph Winebrenner, Mt. Frostburg, July 8 - Funeral services for Mrs. Ella K. Winebrenner, 33, Slabtown, who died Sunday, were held yesterday afternoon from the residence with Rev. Harris M. Waters, pastor of Mt. Savage Methodist Church, officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. The pallbearers were Edgar Bridges, Kilgora Izzett, Marshall Logsdon, James Friddle, William Wott, and James Campbell.
