William G. Leonard, 86, formerly of Sunny Side, a patient at the Cumberland Nursing Home, Md., died Thursday, Dec. 15, 1988, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, Md. Born Aug. 4, 1903, in Confluence, he was the son of the late George and Annie (Ringler) Leonard. He was a retired employee of the Allegany County Roads Department. Surviving are two sons, Robert Leonard, Martinsburg, W. Va.; and Richard Leonard, Wellersbug; three daughters, Myrtle Holt, Cresaptown, Md., Josephine Norris, Grand Ledge, Mich.; and Betty Burley, Ellerslie, Md., and two sister, Edith Zimmerman, Fort Hill; and Minerva Hillard, Ursina. Friends were received at the Hafer Chapel of the Hills Mortuary; LaVale, Md. Services were conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Mount Savage United Methodist Church by the Rev. Thomas E. Young Jr. and the Rev. Pat Malone. Interment Mount Savage United Methodist Cemetery. Pallbearers were John Martin, Daniel Patton, David Turley, Richard Turley, Richard Winebrenner, William Winebrenner and Earl Trimble. The Republic, December 22, 1988

6. | Roy Raymond Winebrenner was born in 1894 (son of Thomas Joseph Winebrenner and Ida Mae Porter); died on 14 Jan 1956 in Frostburg, Allegany County, Maryland. Notes:
FROSTBURG — Roy R. Winebrenner, 61, husband of Mrs. Cecelia W. Winebrenner, Zihlman, died yesterday morning at Miners Hospital where he had been a patient for the past two months. He was a son of the late Thomas and Ida (Porter) Winebrenner, and was employed as a press operator for the Big Savage Refineries. He was a member of Local 190 Brickworkers of America. Besides his widow, he is survived by a son, George Winebrenner, Zihlman: two daughters, Mrs. Flossie Leonard, Mt. Savage, and Mrs. Evelyn Troutman, Grahamtown: a brother, Shannon Winebrenner, Potomac Park; two sisters, Mrs. Tina Winebrenner, and Mrs. Joseph Wolford, both of Borden Mines, and eight grandchildren. The body is at the Durst Funeral Home where services will be conducted tomorrow at 2 p.m. by Rev. Wilbur H. Grose, pastor of the Eckhart Methodist Church. Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park and pallbearers will be Arthur and John Blank, John Cunningham, Charles Long. Howard Winfield and William Griffith. Thomas Winebrenner, 72, of Zihlman, an employee of the Big Savage Refractories Company, died this morning. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. George Shoemake, Zihlman, and Miss Connie Winebrenner, Borden Mine; two sons, Shannon, Bowling Green, and Leroy, Frostburg; two brothers, William and Lawrence Winebrenner, Morantown.
