TUCSON, Ariz. — Robert Lee Charlton Sr., 74, formerly of Cumberland, Md., died Saturday, July 16, 2005, in Tucson. Born July 9, 1931, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Roy T. and Nellie M. (Hornbrook) Charlton. Mr. Charlton was retired electrician and a member of the Local Union 307. Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Janet R. (Winebrenner) Charlton, Tucson; one daughter, Patty Hershiser, Tucson; three sons, Robert L. Charlton Jr. and wife Linda, LaVale, Terry W. Charlton and wife Janet, Cumberland, and Alan D. Charlton and wife Betty, Tucson; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. A private service will be held in Cumberland, at the convenience of the family.

Shannon Victor Winebrenner, 74, died this morning at his home at Fairgo following an illness of nine years. Born at Slabtown, he was a son of the late Thomas and Ida (Porter) Winebrenner. A retired employe at the Amcelle plant of Celanese Fibers Company, he held membership in Potomac Park Evangelical United Brethren Church. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Mamie (Miller) Winebrenner; three sons, Emerson and William Winebrenner, both of Baltimore, and Theodore Winebrenner, Fairgo; a daughter, Mrs. Robert Charlton, Baltimore Pike; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Albert Burkhart, Baltimore: two sisters, Mrs. Lloyd Winebrenner, Frostburg, and Mrs. Joseph Wolford, Eckhart; six grandchildren, five step-grandchildrcn and two step-great-grandchildren. Mamie Ida Winebrenner, 70, of Barksdale Road, Joppatown, formerly of Fairgo, died Thursday at Fallston General Hospital. Born at Ellerslie, she was the daughter of the late Ambrose Miller and Edith (Lowery) Miller. Her husband, Shannon V. Winebrenner, died in 1963. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Baltimore. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Burkhart, Baltimore; Mrs. Janet Charlton, this city; two sons, Theodore (Bud) Winebrenner, Pinto; William Winebrenner, Joppatown, with whom she resided; one stepson, Emerson Winebrenner, Baltimore; one sister, Mrs. Eva Mae Woodrum; and one brother, Arthur P. Miller, both of Ellerslie; 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the George Funeral Home today from 7 to 9 p.m. and tomorrow 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A service will be conducted Monday at 1 p.m. at Ellerslie United Methodist Church with Rev. James Scott officiating. Interment will be in Rest Lawn Memorial Gardens. The body will be taken to the church at noon Monday. The Cumberland News, October 1, 1977

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. George Shoemake, Zihlman, and Miss Connie Winebrenner, Borden Mine; two sons, Shannon, Bowling Green, and Leroy, Frostburg; two brothers, William and Lawrence Winebrenner, Morantown.
