    HAROLD L FOLK MOUNT SAVAGE ‹ Harold Lee "Buss" Folk, 79, of Bruce House Road, NW, Mount Savage, died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2001, at Frostburg Village Nursing Care Center. Born on Dec. 14, 1921, in Eckhart, he was the son of the late Charles K. and Celia "Carol" (Rawlings) Folk. He was also preceded in death by one son, Charles Wesley Folk; two brothers, William R. Folk and Cecil "Sheetz" Folk; and three sisters, his twin, Harleen Gaumer, Lenora Wade and Dorothy Scell. Mr. Folk was a retired orderly at the Allegany County Infirmary, and he served as a medical corpsman in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a member of the Mount Savage United Methodist Church. Mr. Folk also participated in bowling leagues at work, was an avid pool player and loved hunting and fishing his life through. Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Nellie E. (Bowman) Folk; one son, Harold R. Folk and wife Vicki, Spokane, Wash.; two daughters, Barbara K. Loun and husband Roland, Damascus, and Debra Cutter and husband Robert, Midlothian; one daughter-in-law, Diana Folk, Mount Savage; one brother, Melvin Folk, Frederick; one sister, Alva Jean Sgaggero, Frostburg; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, P.A., 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Richard Broome officiating. Interment will be in Rest Lawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale. Family and friends are invited to the church hall following the services for fellowship and refreshments. Pallbearers will be Robert Cutter, Benjamin Cutter, Debra Cutter, Russ Pugh, Roland Loun and Harold R. Folk.

    MOUNT SAVAGE — Nellie Evaline (Bowman) Folk, 91, of Mount Savage, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2017, at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center. Born Sept. 29, 1925, to John W. and Laura B. (Friddle) Bowman in Mount Savage. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold L. Folk; son, Charles Folk; son-in-law, Roland Loun; brother, Wilbur H. Bowman; three sisters, Mae H. Myers, Elvie M. Folk, and Ethel Robertson. Nellie was a member of Mount Savage United Methodist Church and in her younger years was a nurses aide at Memorial Hospital. She was active at the Senior Center and had many friends at Kemptown United Methodist Church. Through the years, she participated in bowling and 8-ball leagues. Nellie was a homemaker and enjoyed canning, making soup, loved making crafts and card playing. She enjoyed reading books while her husband fished. She will certainly be missed by her many friends, young and old. Surviving are son, Harold R. Folk and wife, Vicki, Spokane, Wash.; two daughters, Kay Loun, Kemptown, and Debbie Cutter and husband, Bob, Midlothian; daughter-in-law, Diana Folk and Russ Pugh, Mount Savage; grandchildren, Raymond Reggie Loun and wife, Laura, Ijamsville, Roland Trapper Loun and wife, Tina, Mt. Airy, Jeff Folk, Spokane, Wash., Deanna Cutter, Keyser, W.Va., Benjamin Cutter and wife, Nicole, Chandlersville, Ohio, and Jennifer Simpson and husband, Shaun, Frostburg; great-grandchildren, Culler and Chayan Loun, Jesse Loun, Rose, Kim and Matthew Vollmer, Brody Folk, Cristine and William Aman, Robbie and Caroline Cutter, Kaitlyn and Charlie Simpson; a brother, John E. Bowman, Mount Savage; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, on Friday, Feb. 3, 2017, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. George Harpold officiating. Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens. A native of West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Lily (Whitmyre) Rawlings, and was the widow of Charles K. Folk who died last July 5. She was a member of Frostburg Assembly of God Church. Surviving are three sons, Melvin Folk, Frederick; Cecil Folk, Frostburg; and Harold Folk, Mt.
