    LATTA, S.C. — Margaret Elizabeth (Wagner) Griffey, of Latta, S.C., died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012, at the Mullins Nursing Center. Born Nov. 26, 1916, in Cumberland, she was one of eight children of Peter and Margaret Wagner. She was also preceded in death by her siblings and husband, H. Linwood Griffey. She graduated from Allegany High School in 1934. She was a housewife and mother until moving to Homestead, Fla. with her family in 1963, where she worked for 20 years as a receptionist and bookkeeper. An avid fisherman, she loved boating and the Florida Keys. She was a member of the Ellerslie and Homestead United Methodist Churches. She and her husband moved to Latta, S.C. in 1998 to be with their sons and their families. Shives Funeral Home, Columbia, S.C., is handling the arrangements. Cumberland Times-News, September 5, 2012
