ECKHART — Marjorie Pryor Beeman, 76, of Eckhart, died Tuesday, Nov. 29, 1994 at Sacred Heart Hospital. Born in Cumberland July 26, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Harry Lee and Mary E. (Bergman) McCormick. She was also predeceased by two husbands, George C. Pryor and Melvin J. Beeman; and one sister, Verna Washington. She was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church. She was past president of the Allegany/Garrett County Firemen’s Auxiliary; member of the Clarysville Firemen’s Auxiliary; Ladies of the Eagles, #1273; American Legion, Farrady Unit #24. She is survived by one son, Joseph L. Pryor of Frostburg; two daughters, Georgiana Muir and husband George of Falling Waters, W.Va., and Sandra R. Garlitz and husband Dale T. of Eckhart; five sisters, Patricia Mendonca of Walnut Grove, Cal., Nettie Leydig of Greencastle, Pa., Mary Rosalie Rhodin of Bartow, Fla., Ursula Young of Lakeland, Fla., and Edith Mae Sigman of Decator, Ga.; nine grandchildren, Robert, Michael, Gail, Richard, Andy, Dalene, Lisa, Donald, and Rebecca; six great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael's Catholic Church on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. with Msgr. John L. Reinsfelder officiating. Interment will be in Eckhart Cemetery. A Christian Wake Service will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 8 p.m. Memorial services will be held by American Legion, Unit 24, at 7:30 p.m. and the Ladies of the Eagles, #1273 at 8:15 p.m.; the Allegany/Garrett and Clarysville auxiliaries at 8:45 p.m. Cumberland Times-News, Thursday, December 1, 1994
