Frostburg, Md., Nov. 28 - The funeral of Robert Crawford Minnick, aged 52 years, who died at his home in Garrett County, Friday, was held from the home yesterday morning at 10 o'clock, with services conducted by Rev. William J. McVeigh, assistant pastor of St. Michael's Church. Mr. Minnick is survived by his widow and several children, also a number of brothers and sisters among whom are Joseph and Stella Minnick, Frostburg, and Charles Minnick, LaVale. Frostburg, March 10 - Funeral services for Mrs. Mary C. Minnick, of Garrett county, who died Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Marion Murphy, 203 Maple street, will be held Monday at 10 a.m. from the Hafer Funeral Home with the Rev. Francis E. Montgomery, assistant pastor of St. Michael's Church, officiating. Interment will be made in the McKenzie Cemetery, Garrett County. Besides Mrs. Murphy, Mrs. Minnick is survived by two sons, Albert and Oscar Minnick, both of Long Stretch, Garrett county; three brothers, Richard McKenzie, Long Stretch; Patrick and John McKenzie, Frostburg; three sisters, Mrs. Annie Welsh, Mrs. Fannie Minnick, and Mrs. Bessie Bender, all of Frostburg; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Frostburg - Patrick McKenzie, 81, of Sand Spring, died this morning in Miners Hospital where he was admitted last night. He was a son of the late Jacob and Fanny (Christner) McKenzie. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Frances Minnick, Vale Summit, and a number of nieces and nephews, including Mrs. Ernest Femi, with whom he resided. The body is at the Hafer Funeral Home where friends will be received tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The rosary will be recited tomorrow at 8 p.m. at the funeral home. A requiem mass will be celebrated Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church and interment will be in St. Anne's Cemetery, Avilton. The Cumberland Evening Times, December 14, 1961

McKenzie, a worthy lady of Frostburg, has been granted a pension of $12 a month from January 30 last, as the widow of Jacob P. McKenzie, a soldier of the 2nd Maryland Regiment in the Civil War. Her certificate is No. 743,245. This shows the whole number of pensions granted to widows to date. Mr. Jacob Brown, of this city, was the attorney in the case. Frostburg – July 9 – Mrs. Fannie A. McKenzie, widow of the late Jacob McKenzie, died Sunday evening at her home here. She was in her eighty-eighth year. The funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:30 AM at St. Michael’s Church. Burial will be at St. Ann’s Cemetery, Avilton. Mrs. McKenzie leaves the following children: Mrs. Joseph Welsh, Mrs. Robert Minnick, Mrs. Joseph Minnick, John and Patrick McKenzie of this city, Richard McKenzie, Garrett County, Mrs. Oscar McKenzie, Grantsville.
