    Floyd G. Clites, 69, of Corriganville, died yesterday at Memorial Hospital. Born at Cooks Mills, Pa., he was a son of the late Charles S. and Ollie (Logsdon) Clites. Mr. Clites was a retired electrician and was a member of Corriganville Methodist Church and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Surviving are his widow, Eula B. (Shrout) Clites, and five children, Paul F. Clites, Cresaptown; Earl E. Clites, Corriganville; Mrs. Juanita E. Siders, Vienna, Va.; Ronald A. Clites, Greenpoint, and Darl Clites, Rockville. The body is at the Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman, where friends will be received today from 7 to 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. at Corriganville Methodist Church by Rev. Milton W. Benny, pastor. Burial will be in Porter Cemetery. The body will be taken to the church an hour before the service. The Cumberland News, July 26, 1967

    Mrs. Olie Bell Clites, 87, died yesterday at the home of her son, Floyd Clites, in Corriganville. Born at Cooks' Mill, she was a daughter of the late John E. and Bertha (Lowery) Logsdon. Her husband, Charles S. Clites, preceded her in death. Mrs. Clites was a member of Corriganville Methodist Church. Surviving, besides her son, are a brother, Walter Logsdon, Hyndman; a sister, Mrs. Pearl Williams, of Hyndman; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p. m. at Corriganville Methodist by Rev. B. F. Hartman, pastor. Burial will be in Porter Cemetery. The body is at the Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman.     Mrs. Sarah Catherine Clites, 83, of near Ellerslie, widow of Daniel Clites, died at her home early this morning. Four sons, Charles, William, Albert and Roy Clites, and two daughters, Mrs. Anna Lowery and Mrs. Nina Bohn, survive. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at the home at 2:30 p.m. Rev. D. B. Groves, pastor of the Ellerslie M. E. Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Cook's Mills, Pa. The Cumberland Evening Times, July 1, 1937

    In probating the estate of Mary Ann Porter, items sold at auction went to (among others) Nicholas Burkett, John Beals, Sam Lowrey, Daniel Devore, John E. Porter, Moses Porter, Leonard Porter. This shows some of the neighbors in the area.

    On June 26th, 1855, Mary Ann petitions the Register of Bedford County: "I, Mary Ann Porter, do hereby decline administrating upon the estate of my late husband, Wm. N. Porter, and request you to grant letters to Mr. Thomas J. Porter
    upon said estate." Attested to by James Harden. Filed July 3, 1855.

    November 20, 1857. Came into Court Thomas J. Porter, administrator of the
    estate of Wm. N. Porter, late of Londonderry Township, deceased, and produced a certified copy of the account of his administration on the estate of said deceased as passed by the Register of Bedford County by which it appears there remains in the hand of said accountant the sum of three hundred dollars and fifty seven cents with interest from the 20th day of Nov. A.D. 1857. And it appearing to the Court that notice had been given according to the Act of _______ the same was confirmed and distribution awarded according to law.
