    Pfeiffer, Agnes Cecilia (Ward), born Sept.19, 1899, became an artist working in oils and painting clay dishes and vases, trimming them in gold leaf trim. Many of these pieces were done for family members and survive in excellent condition at Margaret's home. Agnes married Francis N. Pfeiffer, born ------------1891, on April18,1918, at Saint Joseph Church, LaRue, Ohio. Frank was the son of Michael and Anne Pfeiffer, Marion. Two children are born of this marriage, Maxine and Margaret Ellen. Agnes and Francis later divorce. She and her young girls then lived in the Ward family home. Agnes and her father, Frank Ward, operated a general store and gas station in Marion next to their home. The Wards at one time owned 500 acres of land near the Killdeer Wilderness Preserve north of Marion. Frank died Dec.22, 1973 and Agnes, Aug.23, 1988, with burial at Saint Mary Cemetery, Marion.

    Ward, Margaret Rachel (McKenzie), born June 7, 1862, named after her maternal grandmother. She is not living in the McKenzie household in June 1880, so must be elsewhere. Margaret and Frank Joseph Ward were married at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, Frankfort (near Chillicothe) Ohio, by Rev. J. A. Murry on April21, 1884, and have eleven children. Frank, born Dec. 21, 1859, was the son of Patrick Ward (born 1822 in County Donegal, Ireland) and Mary Murphy (born 1828 in County Longford, Ireland). Frank died April 14, 1935, and Margaret, August23,
    1946, with burial at Saint Mary Cem., Marion, Ohio. Their great grandson is Wayne Ward, 88 Summit St., Portsmouth, RI 02871. Much of the following came from the Ward Family Bible in the possession of Margaret Dune of Marion, Ohio. The Ward children are Mary Ellen (Sister Alonzo O.P.), John Redmond, James Francis, Edward Dominic, Francis Thomas, Joseph Raymond, Ivan Anthony, Agnes Cecilia Pfeiffer, Margaret S. Thomas, Loretta Gertrude and Gertrude Catherine.
