Hyndman, Pa., Sept. 19 — Services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Zeigler Funeral Home here for William Franklin Shroyer, 79, of Hyndman, who died yesterday afternoon in Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, Md., where he was admitted Monday. The Rev. C. G. Jones, pastor of Hyndman Methodist church, will officiate, and will be assisted by the Rev. C. E. Miller, pastor of Hyndman Evangelical Church. Interment will be in Hyndman Cemetery. A retired Baltimore and Ohio railroad signal maintenance employe, Mr. Shroyer was a native of Bedford county, Pa., a son of the late Abraham and Elaine (Wolford) Shroyer. His wife, Mrs. Clara (Burley) Shroyer, preceded him in death. Mr. Shroyer was a member of Hyndman Methodist church. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. J. R. Stanbaugh, Los Angeles, Cal. and five sons, Jeff, Frank and Richard Shroyer, all of Cleveland, Ohio; Harry, Detroit, Mich., and Bruce Shroyer, with the Army in India. John Burley died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Alta Klosterman at Hyndman, on Monday, May 20, aged 79 years. He is survived by six daughters and four sons: Mrs. Mary Baker of Cumberland, Mrs. Louvienia Cook and Mrs. George W. Evans, of Pittsburgh; John Burley of Connellsville, Harry Burley of Meyersdale, Mrs. Harvey Wineland of Ellerslie, Mrs. William Shroyer, Mrs. Alta Klosterman, Norman and Perry Burley, of Hyndman. He leaves a brother and sister: Nelson Burley of Ellerslie and Mrs. Sarah Scritchfield of Sulphur Springs.
