He died on 3 Mar 1940 at the age of 69 in Cumberland, Allegany Co., Maryland. Harvey C. Wineland, 67, of Braddock Road, died yesterday afternoon at Allegany Hospital, where he had been a patient since February 27. He was a retired railroad trainman and in recent years was engaged in the coal business. A native of Fredericksburg, Pa., he was a son of the late Jacob L. and Elizabeth Wineland. His funeral Thursday will be nine years to the day since the funeral of his wife, Mrs. Ida May (Burley) Wineland. Nine children survive: Mrs. Edna Lohof and Mrs. Julia Hager, Cumberland; Mrs. Lucille Hardman, LaVale; Mrs. Catherine Fuller, Corriganville; Mrs. Hazel Miller and Mrs. Marguerite McDermott, Ellersie; Dalton Wineland, Bedford, Pa.; Russell and Frank Wineland, LaVale. He also leaves four brothers and two sisters, Frank, San Diego Cal.; George and Samuel, Dallas Tex., and Earl Wineland, Center, Iowa; Mrs. Anna Shunk and Mrs. Mary Hornsby. Funeral services for Ida May Wineland, of Ellerslie, were held yesterday afternoon from the Ellerslie M. E. Church with burial in the Hyndman cemetery. She was a daughter of the late John and Julia Burley of this place. Besides her husband, Harry C. Wineland, she is survived by the following children: Mrs. Paul Lohof and Frank, New York; Mrs. Andrew Hager, Mrs. Rus Hardman and Mrs. Edward Tabler, Cumberland; Mrs. Catherine Blonskey, Ellerslie; Russell, of LaVale; Dalton, Bedford, and Miss Margaret, at home. Three brothers also survive: Harry, of Meyersdale; Perry, of Connellsville, and Norman, Hyndman, and three sisters, Mrs. J. P. Beall of Uniontown, Pa.; Mrs. Mary Gordon and George Evans, this place. John Burley died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Alta Klosterman at Hyndman, on Monday, May 20, aged 79 years. He is survived by six daughters and four sons: Mrs. Mary Baker of Cumberland, Mrs. Louvienia Cook and Mrs. George W. Evans, of Pittsburgh; John Burley of Connellsville, Harry Burley of Meyersdale, Mrs. Harvey Wineland of Ellerslie, Mrs. William Shroyer, Mrs. Alta Klosterman, Norman and Perry Burley, of Hyndman. He leaves a brother and sister: Nelson Burley of Ellerslie and Mrs. Sarah Scritchfield of Sulphur Springs.
