"Byron M. "Bud" Doty, 76, of 1096 W. Decatur St. died at 12:52 p.m. Sunday (June 17, 1979) in Decatur Memorial Hospital."

"Funeral arrangements are incomplete at J. J. Moran & Sons Funeral Home."

"Mr. Doty was born in Beecher City, son of St. Clair and Melissa Doty. He was a member of St. Thomas Church. He retired from Osgood's, where he was employed as a sewing machine mechanic."

"Surviving are sons, William of Mount Zion; Jack and Dannie, both of Decatur; daughters, Mrs. Betty Gallagher and Patricia Karl, both of Decatur; Joan Rose of California; brothers, Francis of Bement; Raymond of Decatur; sisters, Mrs. Arvella (sic) Hendricks (sic) of Washington, D. C.; Mrs. Goldie Brady of Decatur."

"Two brothers preceded him in death."

"BEMENT--St. Clair Doty, 97, of Bement died at 7:50 p.m. Wednesday in the Rest Haven Nursing home where he had resided for several years."

"He was born in Beecher City. He married Margaret Melissa McKinzie (sic) on Sept. 1, 1895, in Stonington. She died December 25, 1965."

"Mr. Doty owned and operated a jewelry and watch repair shop in Bement for many years, later moving his business to Monticello."

"He is survived by sons Byron and Raymond, both of Decatur; Francis of Bement; daughters Mrs. Golda Brady, Decatur; Mrs. Arvilla Hendrix of Bethesda, Md., and 24 grandchildren." **

"Funeral services were held at 9:30 Saturday morning in the Roux Funeral Home with Rev. Fr. Richard Mullen officiating."

"MRS. MELISSA DOTY DIES SATURDAY IN BEMENT"

"Mrs. Margaret Melissa Doty, 90, Bement died at 1:45 a.m. Saturday, December 25 at the Bement Rest Haven Nursing Home where she had resided for some time."

"She was born October 8, 1875 at Beecher City, a daughter of Lewis and Lucy (sic) Logue McKenzie. She was married September 1, 1895 at Stonington to St. Clair Doty, who survives."

"Besides her husband she leaves two daughters, Mrs. Villa Hendrix, Bethesda, Md; and Mrs. Golda Brady, Decatur; five sons, Raymond and Byron of Decatur; Eugene of Lincoln, Francis of Bement; and Otis L. of Monticello. She leaves 34 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren."

"Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Michael Catholic Church with burial in the Bement Cemetery."

They has 9 children: Benjamin Francis, Michael Edward, Sarah, Nancy Maria, James Jacob Wilson, Charles Henry, Mary Agnes (Maria), Margaret Melissa and Lewis Curtis (Louis) McKenzie.
Lewis married 2nd 9 Jun 1883 Sarah Catherine Hissong. They had one child: Joseph E. McKenzie.

"LEWIS MCKENZIE DIES AT HOME"

"Lewis McKenzie died at his home two miles west of Moccasin, Friday morning at 6 o'clock, Jan. 5, 1917. He was 79 years old at the time of his death."

"Mr. McKenzie was born in Knox Co., Ohio, Sept. 23, 1837 and came to Illinois when he was but 10 years old together with his father, mother, two brothers and one sister.* From this family the sister, Mrs. Katie Durbin, is the only one living. His brother Frank having gone to the home of God last February."

"The first brother, John, died about 70 years ago and was the first person to be buried in the St. Bonaventure Cemetery."

"Mr. McKenzie was married the second time. His first wife was Miss Normanda Logue of Effingham Co. To this union were born nine children. Benny, the oldest boy, and Sarah, the oldest girl, died years ago. The surviving children of this union are: Edward McKenzie and Mrs. William Hosler, Monticello, Mrs. Saint Doty and James McKenzie, Lovington, Mrs. J.D. Rhodes, Avena, Charles McKenzie, Altamont and Curtis McKenzie, Beecher City, Illinois."

"His second marriage was to Mrs. Sarah Dial, who remains after him. One boy, Joseph, was the only child born to them."

"Mr. McKenzie was a good Christian man having lived and died a good Catholic and besides his wife and children, he leaves many relatives and friends to mourn his departure."

"He was buried at the St. Bonaventure Cemetery, the funeral being preached by Rev. Father Walsh, of Altamont, Illinois."
