    EDWARD C. MCKENZIE

    "Edward C. McKenzie, 83, of 718 West Fourth, died at the Community Nursing Home at 1:50 a.m. Thursday. He had been ill for the past ten months."

    "Mr. McKenzie was born near St. Elmo, Ill., Dec. 12, 1877, the son of the late John and Matilda Logue McKenzie. The family came to Missouri when Mr. McKenzie was five years old. His boyhood and early life was spent in Boone County."

    "He was married in Boone County April 17, 1901, to Miss Sarah C. Plott. They were the parents of six children. One son, Morris (sic) McKenzie, died in 1946."

    "Mr. and Mrs. McKenzie lived in Boone County during their early married life, later moving to the Green Ridge community to make their home. In 1951 they celebrated their golden wedding anniversary at their home in Green Ridge. Mrs. McKenzie died June 14, 1954."

    "Mr. McKenzie was one of a family of ten children. He was preceded in death by all of his brothers and sisters and one stepson, Kelly Tipton."

    "Mr. McKenzie was a member of Sacred Heart Church."

    "He was employed by the MKT Railroad for 38 years, prior to his retirement several years ago."

    "Mrs. Sarah C. McKenzie, 79, of 206 West Seventh, died at the Pfetcher Nursing Home, 209 East Seventh, at 1:10 a.m. Monday. She had been ill since last December when she suffered a stroke of paralysis."

Baldwin of Litchfield, IL, Mrs. Amanda Schmoll of Centralia, and Mrs. Martha Elder of Columbia.     JOHN B. MCKENZIE DIED FROM AUTO ACCIDENT

    "John B. McKenzie, an old and well-known citizen of Boone county, died this morning at 1 o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Maria Elder, three miles west of Columbia. His death was due in part to an injury received about two weeks ago when the car of a tourist traveling the State Highway struck him."

    "Deceased was 80 years of age. He was a native of Ohio, but he had been living in Boone county for a number of years. Four sons, Henry and John, of Columbia; Frank of Glasgow; Edward, of Rocheport; three daughters, Mrs. Diana Bolden, of Litchfield, Ill; Mrs. Amanda Small, Centralia, and Mrs. Martha Elder, of Boone county, survive him."

    "Mrs. Matilda McKinzie died at her home in Rocheport at 2 o'clock Saturday morning, August 16, of cancer. She was laid at rest in the Rocheport cemetery."
