Deed from William Ridgely to Lewis Howell Deed Book AA Page 306
Allegany County Land Records. This deed references property known as "Moses on the Mount" (referring to Moses Ignatius McKenzie bc. 1780), s/o Samuel McKenzie (bc. 1751), which property is referenced as being located a short distance southwest of Samuel McKenzie's dwelling house. That reference most likely is to the dwelling house of Samuel F. McKenzie (b. 1805), who was the son of Ellen McKenzie, sister of Moses Ignatius, and daughter of Samuel McKenzie (b. 1751). The deed references the children of Moses Ignatius as Jeremiah, Leo, Lewis, Basil, Hilleary and Isadore. No reference is made as to Samuel F. McKenzie, further confirming that Moses Ignatius was NOT his father.
