- Velma Louise McKenzie, 90, Frostburg, died Tuesday, May 23, 2000, at the Goodwill Mennonite Home, Grantsville. Born April 8, 1910, in Garrett County, she was a daughter of the late James C. and Anna May (Crowe) Wilson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harold L. McKenzie Sr., in 1984; one daughter, Norma L. Keller; two infant sons, Jackie and Ronnie McKenzie; six brothers, Ivan, Victor, Herbert, Argyl, Jerome "Dan," and George Wilson; one sister, Fern (Wilson) Thomas; and one grandson. She was a homemaker. She attended the Trinity Assembly of God Church, Midlothian, and the Garrett County Senior Citizens. Survivors include three sons, Donald E. McKenzie, Harold L. McKenzie Jr., and Roger D. McKenzie, all of Frostburg; two daughters, Elaine A. McClung, Fort Ashby, W.Va., and Doris L. McKenzie, Frostburg; two sisters, Mabel McKenzie, Frostburg, and Pansy Merrill, Barton; and 21 grandchildren. Friends were received at the Durst Funeral Home, Frostburg. A service was conducted at the Trinity Assembly of God Church earlier today, May 25, with the Rev. Jimmie Blair officiating. Interment was in the Emmanuel Methodist Cemetery, Finzel. Memorials may be directed to the Goodwill Mennonite Nursing Home, Grantsville, or Garrett County Memorial Hospital, Oakland. MD Death Notice and Obituary Collection
