Frostburg, Md., March 25 - Mrs. Rebecca Lavin, aged 70, Eckhart, was found dead in bed Sunday morning by her son, William Lavin. Mrs. Lavin had a paralytic stroke about two years ago. The following children survive: Mrs. Frank Klosterman,Mrs. James Smith, Mrs. John Gaskill, William, George and Deek Lavin, Eckhart and John Lavin, Baltimore. The Cumberland Evening Times, March 25, 1929 Mrs. Rebecca Lavin Has Large Funeral Frostburg, March 28 - Funeral services for Mrs. Rebecca Lavin, aged 70, found dead in bed at her home in Eckhart, last Sunday morning, by her son, William Lavin, were held from Saint Michael's Catholic Church Wednesday morning. Requiem high mass was celebrated by the Rev. Gerald J. Finan, assistant pastor, who also gave the funeral discourse. Mrs. Lavin had been ill for about two years following a paralytic stroke. The funeral was largely attended. Burial was in Saint Michael's Cemetery. The flower bearers were: Paul Niner, Joseph Condry, Michael Sullivan and Leroy Michaels.
