"MRS. OTA MCKENZIE, 85, LONGTIME RESIDENT DIES"
"Mrs. Ota Fay McKenzie, 85, of this city, died at 2:55 a.m. Sunday in St. Vincent Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient for three days."
"Mrs. McKenzie was born in Beecher City, the daughter of Moses and Ellen Hagen Steele and in 1913 (sic) she was married to Joseph McKenzie. He preceded her in death in 1957. Mrs. McKenzie was a member of the Girard Christian Church."
"Surviving are four sons, Eldon of Rochester, Ind.; Warren of Ennis, Texas; Jerald of Sarasota, Fla.; and Walter of Charleston; two daughters Mrs. Ruth Durbin of Earlville and Mrs. Mildred Smith of this city. Twenty-four grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. (sic) Three sons preceded her in death."
"Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Sutton Memorial Home, this city, with burial in the Ash Grove Cemetery, Windsor. Rev. Clifton Spires of the Calvary Baptist Church, will officiate."
"Friends may call in the funeral home tonight from 6 until 9 p.m."
