- FORT ASHBY, W.Va. — Mary Marie McKenzie, 81, of Country Villa Apts., Fort Ashby, formerly of Lonaconing, Md., died Friday, Jan. 7, 2000, at the Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, Va. Born Sept. 26, 1918, in Lonaconing, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Ryan and Lula (Crawford) Ryan. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A. McKenzie; one son, James McKenzie; and one brother, James Ryan. Mrs. McKenzie was a homemaker, and Methodist by faith. Surviving are two daughters, Rosaline McKenzie-Scott, Keyser, and Sandra Clark, Barton, Md.; one sister, Rachael Gormer, Cumberland; seven grandchildren, Maria Stump, Keyser, whom she reared, Douglas McKenzie, Fort Ashby, Jefferson Clark, Waldorf, Md., Kevin McKenzie, Piedmont, Justin Clark, Rehobeth Beach, Del., David Scott, Morgantown, and Jamie Clark, Barton, Md.; and four great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home, PA., 8 East Main St., Lonaconing, Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. John Park officiating. Burial will be in the Laurel Hill Cemetery, Moscow Mills, Md. Grandsons will be pallbearers. The Cumberland Times-News, January 9, 2000
