  Notes	ECKHART — Helen Ruth “Doll” Ruffo, 77, of Eckhart, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2009 at the WMHS-Braddock Campus. Born Feb. 18, 1932 in Shaft, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Emma (Meagher) Duncan. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John A. Ruffo; three brothers, Richard “Dunc” Duncan, James Duncan and Robert Duncan; five sisters, Naomi “Sissy” McGregor, Mildred “Bess” Landefeld, Charlotte “Chubby” Ruffo, Sarah Duncan and Lucille Lemmert. Mrs. Ruffo was a 1949 graduate of Beall High School. She managed the school cafeteria at St. Michael’s and worked at Roy Rogers Restaurant in Frostburg and the Western Maryland Health System Dietary Department. She was a former member of a local bowling league. When her children were younger, she was a member of the St. Michael’s PTA and the Frostburg K of C Auxiliary. Doll enjoyed being around children. She spent many hours sitting on her front porch reading. She enjoyed working in her flower garden and doing Sudoku and crossword puzzles. Surviving are four daughters, Johna R. Ruffo and Karen Konkel, M.D., Towson, Wanda R. Twigg and husband Tim, Mechanicsville, Carol L. Leveillee and husband Mark, Lusby and Emma L. Pyle, Towson; four grandchildren, Rebecca “Becky” Brennan and fiancé, Matt Adams, Anthony Leveillee, Daniel Pyle and Thomas Pyle; one brother, William “Billy” Duncan and wife Eileen; and numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., Cresaptown, (scarpellifuneralhomes.com <http://www.scarpellifuneralhomes.com>) on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday at 11 a.m. with Chaplain Lewis Twigg officiating. Interment will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tim Twigg, Mark Leveillee, Anthony Leveillee, Ron Fatkin, Charlie Grove and Tyler Ruffo. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael’s School, Frostburg, MD 21532.
