- CUMBERLAND — Bartlett Cottrill, 72, of Brice Hollow Rd., Cumberland, died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2006 at his residence after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Born on March 11, 1934, at Richwood, W.Va., he was a son of the late Bartlett Jennings and Ruby Viola (McKenzie) Cottrill. He also was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Wensell. Mr. Cottrill was retired with 36 years of service with the Kelly-Springfield Tire Company in Cumberland. Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Mildred Loraine (McDowell) Cottrill; three daughters, Christine M. Shipe and husband Jesse, of Oldtown, Linda Dale Morgan and husband DeSales, and Laurel K. Morgan and husband David, all of Keyser, W.Va.; five grandchildren, Jesse Leland Shipe, Randy Shipe, Kimberly Smith, Donna Rohrbaugh and Kerry Cummings, and nine great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted there on Saturday, Dec. 16 at 11 a.m. with the Pastor Charles Riggleman officiating.
