- MIDLOTHIAN - Mrs. Venona Ware, 75, died Saturday in Meyersdale Community hospital. Born in Carlos, she was a daughter ot the late Robert and Rose (Skidmore) Layman and was a retired employe of Michael Berkowitz Company. She is survived by her husband, William S. Ware; a son, Charles R. Ware, Midlothian; two sisters, Mrs. Hilda Soba, Michigan, and Mrs. Mae Croston, Frostburg; two brothers, William and James Layman, both of Detroit; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, Frostburg, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A service will be conducted tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home by Rev. Raymond Davis. Burial will be in Frostburg Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Samuel Bennett, Danny McCaffery, Jerry Lepley, Harold Barberry, Stephen Lepley and Edward Hamilton. The Cumberland News, August 2, 1976
