Other child and his death from Kathy Stoer descendant of son Jacob. Ellen probably living with him from
1850. Death date from Kathy Stoer has to be wrong based on census information from 1860 and 1870
1850 Hagerstown census, he 32, hotel keeper with wife 38 and two children. Also here are a Sarah, a
Carman (is this Caroline with wrong age? )age 16, an Ellen Wisner 45 and a Martha Howard 12. Name is
spelled Wisner by census taker.
1860 census in Frederick, Ferderick Co. MD, he 40, she 49, with children Caroline, Jacob, Sarah, also
here Ellen age 45 (is this his sister and same as woman in 1850 in which case she should be older?) and
Martha Howard 22 (perhaps her sister) Says he is a butcher and name is spelled Wisner
1870 family in Frederick MD he 51, she 58, with Jacob, Sarah and Ellen , Caroline Cranch (unclear)
probably daughter and child same surname Florence, age 3.
1880 census Baltimore MD has an an Ellen Wisner widow, brother (?) Henry 50 and wife Rachel 57
(sister in law to Ellen) with Ellen and Jane Cronet 25 and 16 granddaughters. Ages are off but names are
right. all born Maryland with Ellen's mother born in PA. It seems that this Ellen is sister in law to Henry
since his and her mother have different birth places??? All others MD.
