- Frostburg, Oct. 14 — Rita Ann Cunningham, 12-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Francis R. Cunningham, 9 Centennial street, died this morning in Miners Hospital where she underwent an appendectomy Wednesday afternoon. She had been ill since Sunday. Miss Cunningham was in the seventh grade at St. Michael's Parochial school and was a member of the children's choir of St. Michael church. She was also a member of the Girl Scouts of the church. Besides her parents, she is survived by two sisters, Wilma and Elaine Cunningham. Cumberland Evening Times, Saturday, October 14, 1944
She was buried in St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery, Frostburg, Allegany Co., Maryland.
