Notes	FROSTBURG, Md. - Florence M. Crowe, 86, of 135 Hill St., died Monday, April 28, 1997, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, Md. Born Feb. 20, 1911, in Smithsburg, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Maggie Hartle Clopper. She was preceded in death by her husband William Kenneth Crowe. She was a homemaker. She had worked at Friends Aware, Cumberland. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Frostburg, Md. She was a charter member of Frostburg Chapter 221 Women of the Moose; a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1273 Auxiliary; Farrady Unit 24 Auxiliary of the American Legion; Frostburg Homemakers; Frostburg Senior Citizens; and Interfaith Community Food Pantry. She was a participant in the Council of the Alleganies. She is survived by two sons, Charles F. Crowe of Chester, Md., and Robert W. Crowe at home; one sister, Margaret Winters of Sharpsburg; one brother, Verdeen Clopper of Hagerstown; two grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Lee Crowe. Services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg. Pastor Esther M. Kuhre will officiate. Burial will be in Frostburg Memorial Park. The family requests that donations be made to the memorial fund of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 34 W. Main St., Frostburg, Md. 21532.
