- Harvey Lewis Wilt, 88, Oakland, formerly of Dundalk and Glen Burnie, died Tuesday, July 6, 1999, at hishome. Born Oct. 18, 1910, near Swanton, he was a son of the late John Albert and Zelphia (Blocher) Wilt. He was also preceded in death by six brothers, Andrew Wilt, Delbert Wilt, Porter Wilt, Howard Wilt, Arthur Wilt, and Ira Wilt; and four sisters, Lovada Murphy, Lula Armstrong, Viola Bray, and Velma Wilt. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was a retired carpenter, having worked in his earlier years for the Glen L. Martin Company. He moved to Oakland in 1993, and was Methodist by faith. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy (Williams) Kumulides Wilt; three stepsons, Charles Kumulides, Arthur Kumulides, and George Kumulides; two step-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandsons. Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, Oakland, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today, Thursday. A service will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday, July 9, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Ivan Ackerman and the Rev. Gail Hixon officiating. Interment will be in the Oakland Cemetery. The family suggests memorials take the form of contributions to Hospice of Garrett County or to the Ruth Enlow Library.
