- Eckhart, Md., Dec. 4 — John Francis Dean, 43, a painter at the Celanese plant, died at 6:30 p. m., yesterday, at his home in Eckhart, after being ill several days with heart trouble. A World War veteran, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Dean of Borden Mines and was a member of the official board of the Eckhart M. E. Church and was active in community welfare work. Surviving are his widow, the former Eva Rephann, and a daughter, Miss Betty Dean, at home; the following brothers and sisters, William Dean, Cessna, Pa.; Robert and Arthur Dean, whose addresses are unknown, and Mrs. Clayton Wilson and Mrs. Roy Drum, Cumberland; and Mrs. Joseph Stinnetz, Middletown, Ohio.
