- AURORA — Gilbert C. Crowe, 63, Aurora, died Thursday after a long illness. A native of Frostburg, he was a son of the late John and Ida (Ravenscraft) Crowe. He was a miner and farmer and was a member of Maple Springs Church of the Brethren. Surviving are his widow, Martha (Fike) Crowe; three sons, Robert Crowe, Odgen, Utah; Charles and Glenn Crowe, Charlotte, N. C.; two daughters, Mrs. Naomi Nair, Aurora, and Mrs. Janet Gauer, Dayton, Ohio, and 10 grandchildren. The body is at the Community Building in Eglon where friends will be received until noon tomorrow. A service will be conducted at the Maple Springs Church at 2 p.m. tomorrow by Rev. Clyde Hylton and Rev. Galen Wine. Burial will be in Eglon Cemetery. The Cumberland News, November 9, 1968
