- FROSTBURG — Charles A. Fike, 84, died Thursday at his home in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Born at Asher Glade, Garrett County, he was a son of the late Ami and Caroline C. (Barnthouse) Fike. A retired street car conductor, he had resided in Braddock, Pa., for 35 years. Then he moved to Friendsville and following his retirement to Florida. Surviving are his widow, Bertha (Murphy) Fike, formerly of Frostburg, two sons, Karl F. Fike, Pittsburgh; and Leslie W. Fike of New Jersey; two brothers, S. K. Fike, Piedmont, W. Va., and George W. Fike, Markleysburg, Pa. A service was conducted Sunday at Fort Lauderdale with interment there. The Cumberland Evening Times, May 29, 1962
