- FROSTBURG — Mrs. Viola (Biddy) Walters, 65, of Carlos, was dead on arrival yesterday at Memorial Hospital. A native of Carlos, she was a daughter of Ihe late Winfield and Myrtle (Garland) Crowe, and was the widow of John Walters, who died in 1969. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church. Surviving are a son, Joseph Walters, Baltimore; five daughters, Mrs. Elmira Drew, Frostburg; Mrs. Emma Duckworth, Loartown, Mrs. Jacqueline Higgins, Vale Summit, Mrs. Barbara Huzinec, Furnace Acres and Miss Deborah Ann Walters, at home; six sisters, Mrs. Ada Entler, Mrs. Matilda Bartlett, Carlos; Mrs. Grace Lamp, Cresaptown; Mrs. Ethel Mae Condon, Germantown; Miss Alice Crowe, Springfield, and Mrs. Frances Bostjancic, of New Jersey; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The body is at the Hafer-Sowers Funeral Home where friends will be received from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p.m. and where a Christian wake service will be held today at 8 p.m. Mass of the resurrection will be celebrated tomorrow at 9 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church.
