He was born in Eckhart Mines, Md., on Nov. 16, 1926, to the late Howard William and Eva Mae (Watson) Hansel. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sara L. (Jordan) Hansel on Aug. 3, 2005; and his brother, Robert Hansel. Mr. Hansel was a member of the Marimount Baptist Church in Pontiac. He worked for Pontiac Motors for 37 years elevating from a machinist and retiring as foreman in 1987. He enjoyed woodworking and was an avid gardener. He is survived by his loving son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Mary Collins of Moon Township; three cherished grandchildren, Brett (Amanda) Collins of Leet Township, Tina (Norm) Williams of Cranberry, and Annette (Jim) Trax of Oakdale; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Thelma Shewbridge and Jane Candella, both of Pasadena, Md.; four brothers, Raymond Hansel of Greenville, S.C., John Hansel of Mineral, Va., Ronald Hansel of Frostburg, Md., and James Hansel of Mechanicsburg. Visitation will be held on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Copeland Funeral Home, Moon Township, 981 Brodhead Road, where services will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. with his brother, the Rev.
