- Mary Lou Horner, 78, of Hyndman, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, June 4, 2009, at the home of her daughter, surrounded in love by her family. Born July 21, 1930, in Hyndman, she was a daughter of the late Harvey and Meredith (Willison) Gaumer. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Horner in 1993, and a brother, Charles J. Gaumer. She is survived by two daughters, Debbie S. Elliott and husband Wendell of Manns Choice, and Vicki A. Shaffer and husband John of Massillon, Ohio; three grandchildren, Kelly Wakefield and husband Scott of Bedford, Adam Shaffer and wife Shandi, Abby Smith and husband Adam, all of Massillon, Ohio; five great-grandchildren, Riley, Cody and Casey Smith, AJ and Jewell Shaffer; sisters Nellie Shaffer of Cumberland, Md., and Emma Harden of Hyndman. Mrs. Horner was a member of the Bethel Church of Nazarene, Cumberland, Md. Friends will be received at the Harvey H Zeigler Funeral Home Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday at 11 a.m. with Rev. David Dayhoff and Pastor Joseph Shawley officiating. Burial will follow at Hyndman Cemetery, Hyndman. The Gazette Weekend, Bedford, June 6, 2009
