- Frostburg - Philip A. Thomas, 70, of 13 South Grant Street, died Sunday in Miners Hospital. Born in Frostburg, he was the son of the late David and Ida (Myers) Thomas and was a former mine foreman. He was a member of the Congregational Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Etta (Snyder) Thomas; two daughters, Mrs. Clara Mae Vogtman, here, and Mrs. Phyllis Rosley, Baltimore; one sister, Miss Datha Thomas, here; one brother, Samuel Thomas, here, and four grandchildren. The body is in the Hafer-Sowers Funeral Home where friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted tomorrow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home by Rev. William E. Price. Burial will be in Frostburg Memorial Park. The Cumberland News, December 19, 1967
