- HYNDMAN, Pa. - Mrs. Violet N. Gaumer, 71, Silver Tree Apartments, Fort Ashby, W.Va., formerly of Cleveland, Ohio, died Wednesday at Sacred Heart Hopsital, Cumberland, Md. Born in Cumberland Dec. 20, 1914, she was a daughter of the late James H. and Martha Jane (Clay) Burkhart. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey M. Gaumer, Aug. 22, 1983. She was a retired employee of the Cole National Corporation of Cleveland and a member of the Calvary Assembly of God Church of Fort Ashby. Surviving are two sons, John R. H. Loar, Frostburg, Md., and Daniel C. Loar Jr., Gettysburg, Pa.; three daughters, Mrs. Lewllya (sic:?) J. Wilhelm, Havre de Grace, Md.; Mrs. Juanita M. Ernst, Germantown, Md., and Mrs. Sandra J. Llewellyn, Clarysville, Md.; a stepson, Charles J. Gaumer, Frostburg, Md.; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Mary Lou Horner and Mrs. Emma Lee Harden, both here, and Mrs. Nellie Shaffer, Cumberland; 23 grandchildren; 10 stepgrandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and 19 stepgreat-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted in the funeral home Saturday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Raymond Kirby. Interment will be in Porter Cemetery.
