  Notes	Howard C. Berkheimer, 86, of Hyndman died Saturday, July 14, 1990, at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, Md. He was born Oct. 22, 1903, at Queen, a son of the late Thaddeus D. and Elmira V. (Hartle) Berkheimer. He was married to Ruth (Logsdon) Berkheimer, who died Dec. 10,1954. Surviving are a son, Frank D. Berkheimer of West Chester; a daughter, Mrs. Mary W. Williams, of Reisterstown, Md.; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He also was preceded in death by a son, Merle H. Berkheimer, who died Feb. 14, 1990; by a great-grandson, Troy D. Leap, who died March 15, 1987, and by two brothers. Mr. Berkheimer was a retired textile worker, who had been employed for 25 years at the Amcelle plant of the Celanese Corp. of America. He also had worked as a farmer and was formerly employed at the Kelly Springfield Tire Co. In addition, he had received his teaching certification at Shippensburg State Teachers College and had been a teacher at the Pine Grove School near Hyndman. He was a member of the Cooks Mills United Methodist Church. Funeral services: Tuesday, July 17, at 11 a.m. in the Cooks Mills United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Joseph R. Stains officiating. Burial in Porter Cemetery near Ellerslie, Md. Visitation 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman, and for one hour prior to the service at the church.
