- He. William Smeak, whose home is in Hyndman, Pa., aged 23, while walking on the Baltimore and Ohio railroad tracks near Keyser yesterday morning, was struck by a passing train which ran over his right leg, cutting it off below the knee. After receiving surgical attention at Keyser, he was brought to this city last night on train No. 14, and taken to the Allegany Hospital where he was reported at 2:30 o'clock this morning to be resting as well as could be expected.
