- CUMBERLAND - Betty Jeffries Stewart, 82 , of Cumberland died Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at WMHS Braddock Campus. Born August 13, 1925 in Frostburg she was the daughter of the late J. Marshall and Elizabeth (Jeffries) Porter. She is also preceded in death by two brothers, John Portrer and Marshall W. Porter, and sister, Mary Coleman. Betty was a self employed secretary with D.W. Stewart Inc. and she was a member of Cresaptown United Methodist Church. Surviving is her husband Delbert W. Stewart, son, James Stewart and wife Donna, Cumberland; daughter, Carol Cosner and husband Randy, Cumberland; eight grandchildren, Nan Oker and husband Ollie, Matthew Cosner, Eric Broadwater and wife Misty, Amber Stewart, Kayla Stewart, Tara Stewart, Tyler Stewart, and Nicholas Stewart, great grandchildren, Alexis and Bryce Broadwater, Skylar Stewart and one great grandchild due in two weeks; special niece Hailee Whittington; sister, Elaine Stouffer and husband Keith, Hagerstown; and sister in law, Dorothy Porter. Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home, P.A., Frostburg on Thursday, January 10, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday, January, 11, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Harold R. McClay, Jr. and Pastor Jeannie Marsh officiating. Pallbearers will be Eric Broadwater, Matthew Cosner, Tyler Stewart, Nicholas Stewart, Doug Buckalew, Ollie Oker, J.T. Goodwin, and honorary pallbearer, Bryce Broadwater Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.
