  Notes	Delbert Victor Wilson Sr., 89, of 596 Poplar Branch Road, Grandy, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, July 25, 2016, at Sentara Barco Life Care. He was born, in Frostburg, on April 9, 1927, to the late Victor C. Wilson and Pansy Garlitz Wilson, and was the loving husband of the late Josephine Whetstone Wilson for over 67 years. Delbert was proud to be a World War II veteran in the Merchant Marines, a Christian, loving husband and father. He was a farmer, realtor, builder, writer and follower of Jesus. A humble, quiet, and gentle man with a heart of gold. He is survived by four daughters, Nancy Radcliffe (Bruce), Phyllis Rowzie (Randy), Charlene Monroe (William), Mary Ellen Harris (Benny); two sons, Delbert V. Wilson Jr. (Donna) and Joseph Timothy Wilson; four sisters, Charlotte Folk, Wilma Phillips, Sandy Price (John) and Vickie Butler; 15 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Leaser; a grandson, Victor Wilson; and two sisters, Louise Platter and Beverly Wilson. A memorial service will be held at the Jarvisburg Church of Christ, 121 Forbes Road, Jarvisburg, on Sunday, Aug. 14, 2016, at 2 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Special Olympics.
