LONACONING — Beulah Loretta (Hacker) Jacobs, 90, formerly of Lonaconing, died Thursday, June 12, 2008 at the Western Maryland Health System Frostburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Frostburg. Born Jan. 14, 1918 in Lonaconing, she was a daughter of the late Charles Hacker and Clara E. (Clark) Hacker. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Julius Jacobs; one sister, Martha; and one brother, Charles. She was a member of the Church of the Brethren, Frostburg. She was a former employee of the Lonaconing Silk Mill. She is survived by two daughters, Roselie J. Winters and husband George A. of Shaft and Betty Ann Metz and husband Robert of Baltimore; six grandchildren, David, Todd, Richard, Diane, Barry and Daron; 11 great-grandchildren, Nikki, Nina, Kaileigh, Rebecca, Joseph, Andrew, Alicia, Emily, Jacob, Aaron and Hannah; one brother, James Hacker of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Eichhorn McKenzie Funeral Home, Lonaconing. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday, June 14, 2008 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Richard Riley officiating. Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park, Frostburg. Cumberland Times-News, Friday, june 13, 2008
