CLARENCE KLINE
"Clarence W. 'Pappy' Kline, 74, of Moccasin, a Fayette County native, died at 6:30 a.m. Thursday, June 29, 1978, in Fayette County Hospital."
"He was born July 20, 1903, in Fayette County, son of Charles and Agnes Logue Kline. He was a retired truck driver and carpenter. He married Esta Grubaugh Sept. 15, 1923 at Vandalia."
"Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Kull Funeral Home, Altamont. Burial was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Moccasin."
"Survivors include his wife; daughters, Mrs. Wilfred (Phyllis) Scott of Vandalia, Mrs. Dale (Kathryn) Durbin of St. Elmo and Norma Kline of Moccasin; son, Charles of Granite City; sisters, Velda Miller of Beecher City; Lottie Winters of Greenbriar, Tenn., Aileen Watkins of Pekin and Faye Kemp of Fairfield; brothers, Brian and Joe, both of Beecher City, and Curt of Altamont; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren."
"Two sons, one sister and two brothers preceded him in death."
