"SUCCUMBS TO LINGERING ILLINESS (SIC)"
"Noah Peterson, a highly respected citizen of Lowden (sic) Township, passed away about 4:30 o'clock Tuesday morning at the family home southwest of this city after a lingering illness of tuberculosis."
"The deceased was nearly forty years of age and is survived by a wife, one son and several other relatives."
"Funeral services were conducted at the Moccasin M. E. Church South at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon by the pastor, Rey (sic) Smith. Interment was in the cemetery nearby."
"A LIFE SKETCH"
"Noah Peterson, a son of Aaron and Eliza Ann Peterson was born in Fayette Couty Feb. 14, 1887 and departed this life, Oct. 26, 1926, aged 39 years, 8 months and 12 days. He was united in marriage to Lona Tipsword Dec. 25, 1911 and to this union were born 3 children, 2 boys and 1 girl, Leo and Mary having died infancy (sic). He leaves a devoted wife, one son Wilbert, an aged mother, six brothers and two sisters besides a host of relatives and friends. One sister preceeded (sic) him to the great beyond. He bore his suffering with great patience. He told a friend he was ready to go any time."
"Whie he was with the American Army in Cuba he fell sick and was babtized (sic) on board a ship. He was a devoted husband and father (sic) will be greatly missed by all."
