- GRANTSVILLE — Pansy Elizabeth (Wilson) Merrill, 94, of Grantsville, died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2014, at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland. Born Nov. 20, 1919, in Garrett Co., she was the daughter of the late Calvin James and Anna May (Crowe) Wilson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, who died, June 14, 1993, Delwood Elias Merrill, whom she married June 12, 1936. Mrs. Merrill was a homemaker and a member of Cherry Grove Church of the Brethren. She is survived by her son, Darrell D. Merrill and wife, Sharon, Columbia, and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2014, from noon to 2 p.m. Services will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Daniel Whitacre and the Rev. David McKinney officiating. Interment will be in the Grantsville Cemetery. Cumberland Times-News, November 14, 2014
