- FROSTBURG - Fern Nevada Thomas, 87, formerly of Route 2, Consol, died Tuesday, Dec. 17, 1991 at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland. She was born April 26, 1904 in Garrett County, daughter of the late James Calvin and Anna May (Crowe) Wilson. Mrs. Thomas was a homemaker. She was a member of Welsh Baptist Church and attended Allegany Methodist Church in Zihlman. Her husband, Samuel I. Thomas, died Sept. 9,1966. Surviving are three sons, Thomas I. Thomas, Clarkton, Mich.; Carl L. Thomas, Kenosha, Wise.; and George A. Thomas, Frostburg; three sisters, Velma McKenzie and Mabel McKenzie, both of Frostburg, and Pansy Merrill, Barton; one brother, Victor C. Wilson; IO grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Hafer Frost Mansion. Services will be conducted there Friday at 1 p.m. by Pastor William Boyer and the Rev. George Harpold.
