- John W. M. Cannon Sr., 57, of 16 Altamont Terrace, died Sunday at his residence. A native of Rawlings, he was a son of the late Otto and Blanche (Lease) Cannon. Mr. Cannon was a former employe of the Cloyd Chaney Transfer Company, a brick mason for the George Kraft Company and a veteran of World War II. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Eleanor (Messenger) Cannon; three sons, John Cannon Jr., Robert Cannon and Charles Edward Cannon, all of this city; one sister, Mrs. Richard Loman, Hazen Road; two brothers, Irwin B. Cannon and Alfred T. Cannon, both of this city; and nine grandchildren. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at St. Patrick's Catholic Church today at 9 a.m. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Burial Park with military rites accorded at grave side.
