- FROSTBURG — Mary Jane McKenzie, 86, of Frostburg, died Thursday, April 2, 2015, at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland. Born on July 3, 1928, in Gilmore, she was the daughter of the late Jacob Nelson Blubaugh and Sara Rebecca (Fazenbaker) Blubaugh. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Elmer Arthur McKenzie on Sept. 7, 2003; an infant daughter, Ria Marie McKenzie born on March 16, 1947; three brothers, Irvin, James “Jacob” and Raymond Blubaugh and three sisters, Helen Blubaugh, Elizabeth Kelley and Agnes Blubaugh. She is survived by two children, Carol George and husband Jack of LaVale, and Arthur McKenzie and wife Carol of Lonaconing; two granddaughters, Julie Diehl and husband Brian of Mount Savage and Cindy Layman and husband Jason of Baltimore; four great-grandchildren, John Diehl of Mount Savage, Natalie Diehl of Mount Savage, Xavier Layman of Baltimore and Aaliyah Storer of LaVale; two brothers, Jack Blubaugh of Mount Savage and Bill Blubaugh and wife Pat of Klondike; three sisters, Naomi Wilson of Lonaconing, Ruth Beeman of Baltimore and Betty Poling of Baltimore and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing, on Friday, April 10, 2015, at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Fred Iser officiating.
